FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 1, 2010) - Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA, Certified Public Accountants & Business Consultants, was recognized during the 2010 Industry Appreciation Week Luncheon at Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers.
Sponsored by the Horizon Council, Lee County's economic advisory board, the event drew a record crowd of nearly 950 government, business and community leaders to celebrate the significant contributions of the business community in Lee County.
The CPA firm was honored in the General Business category during the annual program that aims to increase public awareness of how industries boost the state's economy and improve the quality of life in the communities in which they are located. The firm was chosen based on their exceptional level of leadership, innovation, investment and community involvement in Southwest Florida.
Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA was founded in 1979 and continues to serve the market with accounting and auditing, tax preparation, bookkeeping and consulting services for timeshares, nonprofit organizations, condominium and homeowner associations, and medical practices, as well as individuals and businesses. This year, the growing company focused on expanding and diversifying its services. Company leaders hired four new employees for a total of 24 staff and invested more than $48,000 in the 4,400-square-foot office space to accommodate this growth. Approximately 80 percent of the goods and services used by the company are purchased within Lee County.
